As Principal Security Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for supporting Sales and Solutions Architect teams in architecting technology solutions that help address our customer's needs. The Principal Security Solutions Architect is the technical authority within region on Security architecture. This role is critical in the regional architectural practice by maintaining focus on key vendors, partners and other resources in support of the regional practice growth in alignment with area and national teams. The Principal Security Solutions Architect has leadership qualities, exceptional mentoring abilities, deep analytic skills, the ability to engage and interact effectively with clients/prospective clients while working closely with other Architects in order to deliver high-quality products, services and solutions.

Subject matter expert within region on security architecture
Maintain alignment with Area Practice Director for respective practice management within region, driving development and growth of practice
Participate and influence direction of regional portfolio, in alignment with regional, area and national teams
Maintain relationships and alignment with Lead Technical Architect(s) in order to provide continues improvement within delivery
Act as pre-sales technical escalation point for security architecture regionally while supporting post sales needs as necessary
Participate in area and national architecture team meetings and contribute to direction of practice
Update regional teams of advancements within the associated practice specific to ePlus and/or Vendor direction
Provide technical expertise and consultative support to assigned sales team and ePlus customers
Establish credibility and trusted advisor status with ePlus' customers by understanding their business needs and making technical recommendations with their interest in mind
Assist sales team with overall account planning
Develop and finalize solution architecture/design and detailed line item configurations and/or bill-of-materials (BOMs)
Develop and finalize solution proposal and/or presentation of recommended solutions
Lead technical scoping/reviews with sales team and customers for Statement of Work (SOW) generation, planning and designing solutions for complex multi-vendor solutions
Contribute to talent acquisition initiatives including recruiting, interviewing, retaining and training team members
Provide detailed network diagrams, power specs, cable needs, as-built, and rack elevations as needed
Assist sales team with customer satisfaction issues surrounding deployment of a recommended solution in alignment with delivery team and/or vendor
Support of post sales activities needing your involvement, such as internal/external kickoff meetings, lessons learned, etc.
Complete training, per development plan, and maintain certifications in accordance with focus area
Review current pipeline and forecast potential revenue, win probability, and estimated date of completion on a weekly basis
Participate in ePlus events/activities with customers, vendors and other partners
Participation in team meetings specific to region and practices
Work with regional and area teams on developing standardized process for repeatability

Security engineering knowledge, preferably with one or more of the following vendors: Cisco, NetApp, Pure Storage, Palo Alto, Fortinet, VMware
Demonstrated knowledge of complex Cybersecurity Methodologies, including Public Cloud architecture, Vulnerability Management, Cybersecurity Posture, Privilege Access and Identity Management, Data Loss Prevention, SEIM
Industry Knowledge: Framework and compliance-based security controls (NIST, CIS, ISO, HIPAA, PCI, GDPR, CCPA). Cybersecurity standards, processes and best practices.
Expert level knowledge and ability to consult, design and present security solutions with confidence
Expert level knowledge and the ability to consult, design and present solutions with confidence in any of the additional practice areas listed below is a plus:
Education and Experience:
10+ years of experience in designing or implementing complex security solutions
3+ years of experience in providing pre-sales engineering/architecture support
Advanced level certifications in applicable technology area(s) of expertise
College degree or applicable work experience required
Physical Requirements of Position:
Ability of finger dexterity to be used primarily to make small movements such as typing, picking up small objects or pinching fingers together. Movements frequently and regularly required using the wrists, hands and/or fingers. Speech ability must be at a level where one must convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly or quickly. Hearing ability must be at a level to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information. Visual ability must be average with ordinary visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products, or operate machinery. Physical strength for sedentary work with sitting most of the time. May have to exert or lift up to 10-20 pounds of force occasionally.
