Description/Job Summary
The Operations & Sustainability Analyst, collects data and performs statistical analysis of indicators for current sustainability and operations programs to determine their effectiveness and progress toward the firm's objectives. Supports the Director, Operations & Sustainably in researching new and proposed sustainable and strategic programs, projecting savings and overall program feasibility. This role includes collaboration, reporting, and engagement with various consultants and stakeholders, including internal teams.
Responsibilities/Duties
Assist with the development, testing, and maintenance of business continuity plans
Review and revise sustainability proposals or policies
Provide technical and administrative support for sustainability programs
Provide ESG reporting assistance, to include efforts around stakeholder engagement, vendor diversity, climate risk analysis, and resiliency
Conduct independent research and prepare technical reports that analyze and summarize financial, product, market and operational information and trends to support strategic and business planning
Monitor project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions
Project manage new sustainability or operational efficiency initiatives across departments and business units
Assess and propose sustainability initiatives, considering factors such as cost effectiveness, technical feasibility, and acceptance
Propose and maintain Key Performance Indicator (KPI) data related to energy and water consumption and waste data
Contribute to the improvement of existing processes and promote the adoption of best practices as related to the above duties and responsibilities
Perform other additional duties as assigned
Required Skills
2 years of related professional experience conducting research and performing statistical analysis
Ability to effectively communicate complex information verbally and in writing; and collaborate effectively with individuals at all levels, internally and externally
Strong MS Office Suite skill; advanced level MS Excel skills to combine and analyze large amounts of data from various sources, and generate reports and graphics a must
Adept in analyzing and summarizing data from a variety of sources to identify trends and for preparing benchmark reports
Strong reasoning, analytical and problem-solving skills
Skilled in researching and supporting the implementation of state-of-the art sustainable practices
Demonstrated organizational skills with proven ability to multitask while ensuring attention to detail
Preferred Skills
Knowledge and understanding of sustainability concepts, energy efficiency practices, and EPA guidelines
Demonstrated knowledge in statistical tools and varied data collection and assessment methodologies
Experience evaluating environmental issues
