JPMorgan Chase Markets Portfolio Management - Associate in New York, New York
Markets Data Services (Markets DS) is a function within Markets Portfolio Management (MPM), a centralized team across Markets established to support the business in its client and revenue growth initiatives through the active management and allocation of financial resources, while taking into account the firm's binding constraints.
You will be part of Markets DS, a team that among other analysis, is responsible for the development of tools and analytics to enhance the overview of live market's financial resources usage at Business, Product and Client level. The team works in close partnership with Markets Financial Resource Management (Markets FRM), which is also part of MPM. In addition it has strategic collaboration with tech and quant teams.
The open position is for an experienced associate with strong Python experience, proven background in finance and derivatives product knowledge. Specifically the candidate will be responsible for:
Designing end-to-end solutions and framework that translate into optimization and cost saves to the firm.
Interacting closely with LOBs, FRM, Tech teams and QR across Markets.
Demonstrating initiative and ability to propose new out of the box solutions.
Interacting with senior stakeholders to achieve impactful results.
Interacting with external clients in discussions about proposed derivative structures for portfolio optimization.
Quantitative background with strong programming skills (Python specifically).
Experience with pandas and numpy to handle large dataset with various data types.
Experience with object-oriented programming design.
Capability to write code that is efficient in both run time and memory.
Strong analytical and communication skills.
Strong team player with an ability to handle work under pressure.
