McGraw Hill, the leading provider of digital and print educational materials is looking for a Director of Marketing for Mathematics within our K-12 division.
The Marketing Director for Math works closely with Product Development, Sales, peer Marketing leaders, and cross-functional teams to lead the development of effective cohesive portfolio-wide product and integrated marketing strategies that maximize revenue, maintain targeted margins, ensure consistent product use, foster user communities, and maintain high levels of satisfaction for each owned product across all phases of the life cycle. Additionally, this individual will partner with sales and marketing leadership, engage with both customers as well as industry experts to build a base of knowledge beyond what can be learned from internal data sources.
What can you expect from the position?
\* Leads the development of Math Portfolio Marketing strategies aligned to revenue, product, market, and customer goals through cross functional collaboration in Product Development, Project Management & Sales
\* Champions an understanding and application of voice of the customer feedback throughout the portfolio and campaigns, including relevant user, buyer, and market/competitive landscape
\* Drives optimization of in-market performance for the portfolio, applying metrics and strategies aligned to the product lifecycle
\*Ensures deliver of effective go-to-market strategies including clear customer segmentation, positioning, storytelling, pricing, and distribution specific to the needs of state adoption and open territory
\*Facilitates the development of sales enablement tools and strategies that support the selling process at all stages of the customer journey including a vision for integrated marketing campaigns
\*Leads the creation of annual marketing plans with defined goals and objectives, as well as a prioritized portfolio budget and
\*Fosters team creativity and ongoing professional development practices to coach/mentor while building a culture of innovation, establishing accountability, and driving new marketing tactics
\*Drive national marketing for the math portfolio, including support for key A and A+ opportunities, core product collateral, and campaigns/strategy for state adoption and open territory
\*Develop a multi-channel strategy with the aim of lead generation, with an eye toward effectiveness and ROI
\*Set up each team member for success by positioning each as the chief product advocate responsible for building product awareness, establishing and maintaining user communities, deepening product knowledge, and ensuring consistent positioning both internally and externally
We're looking for someone with:
\*Bachelor's degree in marketing, communication or related field, MBA or advanced degree preferred
\*7+ years of marketing experience, with experience in B2B product marketing
\*Successful track record of partnering closely with a Sales-driven organization to achieve revenue, usage, and satisfaction targets
\*Experience successfully leading and developing a team of marketers
\*Experience with designing and executing effective go-to-market strategies
\*Education industry experience preferred
\*Some travel required, up to 25% during pockets of the year
