Manager, Product Management, Card intelligence Channels

As a product manager on the Card Intelligence team at Capital One, you'll be leading the next wave of disruption at a whole new scale, using the latest in computing and machine learning technologies and operating across billions of customer records to unlock the big opportunities that help people save money, time and frustration in their financial lives. You'll have access to a wide range of challenging business problems, world-class experts in machine learning, and partners and stakeholders with a long track record of building industry-leading solutions.

We are looking for an innovative product manager with a passion for user-centered design and a deep understanding of the role machine learning can play in solving complex problems and delivering disruptive solutions. This person will be at the forefront of integrating human-centric thinking with data science problem-solving, weaving methods of problem exploration, customer/stakeholder engagement, human+data insight development, and story-telling. You will drive new ways of bringing together data scientists with business and technology partners to unlock new ML opportunities and inspire people to integrate quantitative rigor with human empathy, business sense, and a healthy dose of pragmatism.

You will be the primary product manager working with our Conversational Intelligence team to deliver ML-created call transcripts and customer insights based on those transcripts. To succeed, you will need to understand the opportunities in the Conversational Intelligence space, the effort it will take to realize them, and how to keep diverse teams of business partners, technologists, and data scientists all moving in the same direction while aligning with vendors and Capital One's broader technology infrastructure.

To succeed, you'll need proficiency in four key areas:

Human-Centered

You'll drive sourcing and synthesis of customer discovery efforts to understand customer needs to drive the long-term vision for your product

You'll turn these customer insights into actionable strategies that will define the priorities for your team and rally your stakeholders to your vision

Business-Focused

You'll own and prioritize the long-term (12-18 months) product roadmap to deliver on business outcomes, working closely with a cross-functional team to ensure that all the right resources are aligned to ensure that your project and team will be successful

You'll define KPIs for your product and will be responsible for measuring and tracking to those measures, with an eye to adjusting and refining your roadmap as the data dictates

Technology-Driven

You'll have an end-to-end understanding of your products and how they fit into the larger ecosystem

You'll work closely with tech leadership to understand the tradeoffs of technical decisions and how they impact the customer experience your team will deliver, and be able to translate those requirements to your engineering team

Transformational Leadership

You'll rally your team and stakeholders to your product vision and proactively leverage relationships throughout the ecosystem to align to your vision and influence prioritization across partner teams

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree or military experience

At least 3 year of product management experience or at least 3 year of experience in product design, agile delivery, business analysis, data science, or software engineering
Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering

MBA or Master's degree

2+ years of experience in Agile product management
