The Legal Department of JPMorgan Chase & Co provides legal services and advice to the Firm globally. Legal is responsible for, among other things:

  • managing actual and potential litigation and enforcementmatters, including internal reviews and investigations related to such matters

  • advising on products and services, including contractnegotiation and documentation

  • advising on offering and marketing documents and newbusiness initiatives

  • managing dispute resolution

  • interpreting existing laws, rules and regulations, andadvising on changes thereto

  • advising on advocacy in connection with contemplated andproposed laws, rules and regulations, and

  • providing legal advice to the Board of Directors, thebusiness and functions. Legal selects, engages and manages outside counsel forthe Firm on all matters in which outside counsel is engaged.

Position Summary

Office of the Secretary –is seeking a high performing Associate to support Global Subsidiary Governance Solutions team (GSGS) Legal organization management team on a variety of administrative tasks and key projects. The GSGS Associate will have multiple responsibilities; including diverse administrative functions, creating team communications, spearheading projects and leading initiatives from conception to completion. The role will require confidentiality, initiative and sound judgment.

The successful candidate will possess structure, organization, attention to detail, quality focus, high energy and flexibility to a high-paced deadline driven organization. This individual will need to work well in a team environment be able to represent the manager/group with professional courtesy and acumen, deliver flawless work output and help be a champion of JPMorgan Chase & Co. culture, values, and business practices.

This position is based in New York, NY.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintaincomplex and detailed calendars

  • Responsiblefor the coordination, logistics and agendas of both internal (e.g., staffmeetings, offsites) and external meetings

  • Arrangeand coordinate complicated domestic and international travel

  • Organizeall aspects for offsite conferences andexternal events; including catering and transportation

  • Expense Management – Processinginvoices and T&E expense claims for team members. Ensure all policies arefollowed and items are processed within provided guidelines. Subject matterexperts for policies and procedures

  • Assist with staff onboarding and offboarding which includes requesting equipment setup and system and floor access

  • Produce high quality emails and keymessages for the team

  • Maintain currentorganizational charts and Executive Bio’s for the Operations Head, maintainteam distribution lists and GSGS Symphony chat

  • Handle regular activitieswithout prompting, and advise in advance with issues or delays

  • Create presentationmaterials including materials for ALL HANDS Meetings and other monthlyforums. Gather content and assist inwriting articles for the GSGS Newsfeed

  • Work cooperatively with administrativeassistants team, in positive partnership to back up each other smoothly

  • Lead and coordinate inadhoc projects asassigned by senior management team including presentations, ad-hoc analysis

  • Strong interpersonal, written, andoral communication skills

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Strong PC skills (proficient knowledgeof MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

  • Effective interpersonal skills

  • Superior oral and writtencommunication skills

  • Advanced ability to organize

  • Tact and good judgment in confidentialsituations and proven experience interacting with senior management

  • Thoughtful analytical skills; able todevelop, clearly present and draw conclusions

  • Proven ability to build strongpartnerships with colleagues, desire to learn quickly, and be flexible

  • Two-three years of experience ideallysupporting at the Managing Director level (or equivalent) or above

  • College degree is a plus
