International Tax Experienced Manager - ASC740 is responsible for advising clients on the tax implications of their business objectives, evaluating and selecting alternative actions to lessen tax burden and cost of compliance, identifying different methods of complying with tax regulations while working in the International Tax Services Group on complex international tax and ASC 740 tax issues. In this role, International Tax Experienced Manager is charged with applying knowledge to understand potential tax issues and recognizing and communicating potential risks and potential changes in the tax policy. In addition, the International Tax Experienced Manager will be involved in the marketing, networking and business development within an area of expertise and specialization and may be asked to provide written tax advice to clients.
- Bachelor's degree, required; major in Accounting or Business, preferred
- Juris Doctorate, LLM or MST/MBT, preferred
- Six (6) or more years of experience in corporate tax, international tax or legal professional services or equivalent experience through an advanced degree (LLM) program, required
- Experience in managing the process of preparing and auditing ASC740 computations for both privately held and publicly traded clients, required
- International tax experience, required
- Prior experience supervising tax professionals on a project or engagement basis, preferred

- CPA certification Attorney (admitted to practice in a U.S. jurisdiction), or Internal Revenue Service Enrolled Agent ("EA") (or the equivalent of one of these designations), required
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint, preferred
Experience utilizing RIA, BNA, Lexis Nexis and/or Westlaw, preferred

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Superior analytical and legal and tax research skills including building models and analysis of financial and numerical data
- Strong organizational skills, especially ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on details
- Ability to successfully multi-task while working independently or within a group environment
- Proven ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Capable of effective managing a team of tax professionals and delegating work assignments, as needed
- Capacity to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and client personnel
- Ability to encourage team environment on engagements and contribute to the professional development of assigned personnel
- Executive presence and ability to act as primary contact on assigned engagements
- Ability to successfully interact with professionals at all levels
- Advanced knowledge of sources of relevant information utilized in tax filings as well as the most widely used filing forms and awareness of other less widely used tax forms
- Advanced understanding of the technical and practical issues and opportunities regarding one or more areas of taxation and law
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of general calculations and cause / effect for taxable conditions on clients and the potential tax issues
- Strong legal writing background and familiarity with the IRAC method of analysis
