The Head of Personal Loan Marketing is responsible for the end-to-end marketing strategy and creative development for the Personal Loan program to profitably grow Citi’s U.S. Installment Lending business.
Manage a team of 6 individuals and partner closely with Product Management, Analytics and Risk Management to deliver a robust growth strategy for Citi’s U.S. Personal Loan business.
Manage the end-to-end creative strategy and execution across direct mail, email and digital channels. Engage creative agencies to drive frequent development and testing of new creative concepts to identify winning creatives and combat mail fatigue. Ensure marketing positioning is aligned with key product RTBs and design targets, and threads through consistently across channels.
Partner with other Lending programs to apply a holistic approach to managing the marketing strategy for Personal Loans by differentiating the creative positioning and optimizing proactive marketing to maximize customer experience and profitability.
Partner with Branch network and digital teams to identify marketing opportunities to strengthen cross-sell and acquisitions strategy.
Partner with Analytics team to test and optimize the marketing contact and channel strategies to maximize CPA efficiency and customer experience. Analyze channel performance to understand the value of each marketing channel and identify opportunities to drive customer response.
Manage the strategy requirements to launch monthly marketing campaigns, which includes preparing documents to secure business approvals of the marketing investment, and Legal & Compliance approvals of the campaign strategy and marketing creatives.
Analyze Citi’s balance growth trends versus the industry, keep an active pulse on competitive intelligence and incorporate as appropriate into future strategies.
Create a disciplined approach to forecasting and performance monitoring. Lead team to resolve any issues/hurdles or any unexpected variances in performance. Manage marketing control requirements.
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
8+ years of experience in financial services and marketing; experience with unsecured lending is preferred
Proven strategic thinker with demonstrated strong problem-solving skills, who is able to respond quickly and creatively to complex issues
Demonstrated ability to inspire and lead a cross-functional team, creating an engaging and high-energy environment to drive results
Outstanding organizational skills, time management, project management and attention to detail, along with high levels of emotional intelligence and partnership skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong presentation and facilitation skills to senior audience members
A highly resourceful individual with self-motivation and proven ability to navigate matrixed organizations
