The Global Commercial Services – U.S. Large Market and Global Client Group (U.S. LM & GCG) manages American Express’ largest and strategically important commercial clients – driving differentiated value and providing solutions that meet the diverse and global needs of the company’s most valuable customers. The organization is on a journey to transform and reimagine how to best position AXP in the commercial space to ensure mutual success for our customers and American Express through COVID recovery and beyond.

The US LM & GCG segment vision is to deliver a best-in-class Travel & Entertainment (T&E) value proposition and meet a growing set of our customers’ B2B payment needs. The Director of US LM & GCG Marketing will lead the marketing strategy that ties to one of the three segment strategic imperatives: restore our Travel & Entertainment competitiveness and grow share. The goal is to remain competitive in the Travel & Entertainment space by ensuring that our messaging to Corporate Card Members (CMs), Program Administrators (PAs), and Decision Makers alike is clear and consistent, and our value proposition is compelling.

Specifically, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

Job Specifications:

  • Build on the Corporate Card refresh momentum and continue to elevate the Corporate Card Member Engagement experience so that American Express becomes the product of choice when Corporate Card Members return to post-COVID business travel.

  • Transforming the Program Administrator Marketing strategy with the goal of engaging Program Administrators with AXP as a brand and with key products.

  • Developing omni-channel marketing treatments for B2B and B2C customers.

  • Partnering across the Global Marketing, Product, Account Development, Business Development organizations to deliver inspirational marketing strategies.

  • Driving global customer experience consistency through the customer lifecycle.

  • Liaising with the International GCG Marketing team to align on applicable initiatives.

  • Leading a team with 7 direct reports.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • Inspirational people leadership with a focus on belonging and team camaraderie.

  • 5-7 years of Marketing experience.

  • Success motivating and influencing internal partners, agencies, and external partners.

  • Strong strategic and creative thinker with the ability to develop compelling strategies and translate into successful executions.

  • A “can-do” attitude and a desire to have fun while driving exceptional customer experiences.

  • Proven track record of driving results.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong executive presence and proven. ability to rally others around a vision.

  • Global B2B marketing experience is a plus.

  • MBA or equivalent experience strongly preferred.
