The Proteomics lab in the Department of Biological Sciences at Columbia University invites applications for an Associate Research Scientist (ARS) to begin July 16, 2021. The ARS will apply mass spectrometry to large-scale protein profiling, cross-linking technology applied to protein- protein interaction and protein structure and the study of posttranslational modifications, and other projects as assigned in support of areas of biology related to proteomics and mass spectrometry, as well as contributing to the intellectual life of the Department of Biological Sciences.
Review will begin immediately and continue until the search is filled.
Ph.D. in analytical chemistry, extensive experience in mass spectrometer operation and maintenance, specifically for proteomics with significant
publication involving mass-spectrometry-based proteomics and using cross- linking technology. At least 1-year of postdoctoral experience is also required. A demonstrated skill and effectiveness in day-to-day operation of the Q Exactive HF mass spectrometer for proteomics with nanospray
