We are looking for an exceptional Associate Producer to join ''The Five." As an Associate Producer on ''The Five,'' you are responsible for pitching stories, creating research packets, coordinating video and graphic elements, and working hands-on with our co-hosts to execute their needs. Candidates need strong editorial skills to produce compelling and unique television and should be able to fill in as the line producer when needed. Additionally, you should be creative, forward-thinking, and love working in an unpredictable, fast-paced news environment under tight deadlines. When everyone else goes one way, ''The Five'' goes the other and we are looking for someone who can navigate through the fun.

Produce daily segments for live air
Focus on editorial production
Pitch stories on a daily basis with topics ranging from political to cultural to the latest crazy food trend to what's trending on Twitter
Look beyond the big headlines of the day to help create new and fresh conversation
Create research packets that serve as the foundation of our anchors' preparation
Find the best sound bites, video, and graphics to help support your segment and tell the story in the most engaging way possible
Write banners, cutting video, and, on the rare occasion, book guests all while quickly responding to breaking News
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
At least 2 years of news production experience on a national level
Solid news judgment and with a grasp of politics and current events
Experience in a live control room
Experience writing/producing segments
Experience Line Producing
Ability to meet quick deadlines and react to rapid news developments
Strong social skills to work and communicate effectively with team leaders and anchors
