Liaison to all registration & scheduling areas including as applicable Switchboard, Patient Services.
Cover department during peak patient times and absences.
Liaison working with external & internal customers to resolve issues related to department functions.
Uses day-to-day processes and practices to monitor and initiate Performance Improvement.
In conjunction with department manager/supervisor communicates pertinent updates
Assists in developing workflows, policies and procedures
Ensure department coverage is maintained & managed during absences & peak times
Evaluates and assign staff work schedules.
Cover department leadership responsibilities during absences.
- High School diploma or GED
Previous healthcare experience in a hospital/clinic business office setting, with at least 1-year experience preferred.
Excellent communication, computer, organization and problem solving skills.
Technical knowledge of a medical setting, regulatory and compliance policies/procedures, and understanding of insurance payer requirement preferred.
Medical terminology experience preferred.
Must be able to demonstrate excellent communication, conduct & interpersonal skills in all interactions.
Works cooperatively as part of the team & serves as resource to other staff.
Professional & detail oriented.
