What You’ll Do:
Assemble, disassemble and/or modify systems by changing, removing, replacing or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes.
Oversee assembly, disassembly or overhaul.
Configure aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.
Troubleshoot complex pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.
Perform validation/verification testing of systems and components.
Document procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results).
Inspect components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements.
Oversee training.
Work under general direction.
Performs on and off aircraft electrical modification to electrical wiring and system components which includes but is not limited to: wire / harness / connector / component removal, installation, & repairs, routing, terminations, continuity checks, troubleshooting, and ADCPII / MIDS-J & disturbed systems operational checks / verifications.
What You’ll Need:
Secret Clearance
Must have a minimum of 5 years of recent aircraft electrical modification experience and demonstrate the ability to utilize various forms of engineering and technical information such as modification drawings, wiring & schematic diagrams, engineering dispositions, technical directives, technical orders, & modification workbooks, part lists / kits, and ground support / test equipment.
Must demonstrate a thorough understanding of aircraft / maintenance safety, tool control, FOD, quality management systems, and industry standards relative to discipline.
*U.S. Citizenship is required by law, regulation, executive order, or government contract.
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma/GED combined with 4 + years of relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
