Children's Hospital of New Orleans is a leader in Pediatric care throughout the Southeast region. We are seeking a dynamic DIRECTOR OF PERFUSION in our PERFUSION SERVICES department. With over 40 pediatric specialties and more than 400 physicians, it is the only full-service hospital exclusively for children in Louisiana and the Gulf South. Position Summary: This position is responsible for daily operation of the Perfusion program. The Director must be competent in all aspects of the job functions of a Perfusionist taking care of pediatric and adult patient with congenital heart disease. The Director reports to the Service Line Director of the Heart Program and is accountable for supervising the delivery of high quality, effective care to patients and their families. The Director is responsible for analyzing, planning, implementing, evaluating and communicating processes and program, which enhance, strengthen and integrate the services comprising the service line. The Director is responsible for participation in the development and implementation of the service line strategic business plans, and for creating an environment which continuously supports improvement of operational, financial and clinical components. Education Requirements: Graduate of an accredited Perfusion Program Certification in Perfusion Science required Eligible for licensure with the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners required.
