Ascend Rehabilitation, LLC is an integrated rehab, health and wellness company providing services to seniors in the Twin Cities metro areas. Ascend Rehab partners with the University of Minnesota to provide physical therapists a Geriatric Clinical Residency year. Basic Function: Will provide geriatric patient care in a Skilled Nursing facility 4 days a week. Will also have 1 day of off-site education sessions and receive 4 hours of mentoring per week. This opportunity delivers a rigorous and high-quality post professional clinical and education program to advance the clinician s knowledge, skills, clinical reasoning, leadership and professionalism toward the level of expert clinician to best serve the needs of older adults in Minnesota and beyond. Position Details: This is a 12-month program (September August). Clinicians can start clinical work before the Residency program begins. The clinical component is part time (32 hours/week) Monday, Wednesday-Friday. Clinical mentors are geriatric experts. New graduates and experienced clinicians are encouraged to apply. Resident graduates will be prepared to sit for the GCS exam. Residents will earn a salary with benefits. State APTA registration. CSM registration and travel assist. 230+ credits.
