Sodexo is seeking a Food Service Manager for Charles T. Sitrin in New Hartford, New York . Charles T. Sitrin provides a variety of services, including long-term care, comprehensive medical rehabilitation, independent and assisted living, residences for seniors, people with developmental disabilities, social and medical model adult day health care, military rehabilitation, adaptive sports, child care and wellness classes.The Food Service Manager will manage the day to day operations of the meal service and occasionally assist with the onsite housekeeping services team at the long term care residence.

The successful candidate will:

  • implement and standardize the food production procedures: recipe standardization, food management systems sheets, inventory control, HACCP, cleaning schedules, staffing plans, presentation and quality of food, kitchen cleanliness, safety, etc.

  • assist with food & labor costs controls, supervision of the frontline employees, and conduct self-audits to monitor standards and compliance.

  • healthcare dining experience and strong leadership skills;

  • detailed knowledge of HACCP and Department of Health Regulations, work place safety training and self-audit experience;

  • Hands on skills with food production and standard recipes;

Position Summary

Assists in the management of multi-functional food service areas in a single unit. May assume General Manager's (GM) responsibilities and authority in his/her absence. Assists in maintenance of cash control and payroll records. Assists in supporting the financial/Human Resources (HR) functions. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. May supervise less than two full time employees.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
