The Role
Work in three critical areas to provide key marketing insights to the consumer organization:
Data Extraction – using SQL to extract data and perform critical QA checks
Data Analysis - requires solid math skills to comb through and validate data to determine most relevant insights
Analysis Presentation - must provide meaningful analysis that answers needed business questions and associated action-oriented recommendations
The Main Responsibilities
Meet with Marketing Strategy partners to gain an understanding of the overarching strategy and the availability of various marketing offers, including any limitations
Translate high-level strategy into detailed plans that will lead to the generation of household level marketing or offer strategies
Extract critical campaign data elements from a variety of available databases using SQL
Organize and analyze data, recognizing relevant and insightful data points to be taken into consideration in future marketing plans
Summarize results and recommendations to be shared with key stakeholders throughout the marketing organization
Ability to work and lead multiple projects simultaneously
Be responsible for delivering on forecasted metric and provide variance analysis when actual results vary from forecasts
What We Look For in a Candidate
Required
Bachelor's degree and 6-8 years of related work experience
Proven delivery track record in database marketing or analytics
Ability to analyze, interpret performance metrics and provide associated recommendations
Self-motivated and results oriented, constantly pursuing process improvement
Ability to work with minimal supervision and direction
Ability to think critically, solve complex problems and prioritize an ever-changing workload
Strong and proven project management experience
Financial/Customer reporting or analysis experience at a larger company
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Strong, innovative problem solving skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required to help with communication, team support and team effectiveness
Preferred
Background in SQL
Background in consumer marketing and behavioral modeling
Background in database management or marketing analytics
Able to meet deadlines and handle stressful situations
