BAE Systems Business Development Director - Growth and Strategy Leader Electronic Warfare Small Form Factor Solutions in Nashua, New Hampshire

This role will require strong leadership skills coupled with a technical background, operational and DoD Acquisition experience. As a BD manager in our Small Form Factor Solutions product area you will be charged with building and maintaining a funnel of opportunities, and leading the growth initiatives.This position will require an energetic and proactive leadership style and a fundamental understanding of the Electronic Warfare market.

This position includes the identification, creation, development and qualification of new business opportunities for the ECS Business Area. To accomplish these tasks, the successful candidate will have the ability to engage and influence customers, understand customer hot buttons , apply strategic filters to assess potential solutions and their business cases, and understand the competitive landscape. Other responsibilities include leading in-depth reviews of competitors, developing Price to Win and being the voice of the customer to the business capture team.

This candidate is expected to work independently while being aligned with the ECS strategy and leadership team

Required Experience:Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing or other related field.Employees in California must have a Bachelor s degree in the applicable field, or an applicable certification, equivalent certificate or any required license. Equivalent experience will not be considered.

Location Preference: Nashua, NH; Wayne, NJ; Austin, TX; Pax River, MD; Washington, DC; or, potentially any BAE Systems Facility or major customer location

Typical Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree and 10 years of experience or 14 years of experience in lieu of degree

Required Skills and Education

  • Has experience with the DoD requirements process, in particular USN (US Navy) & USAF (US Air Force)

  • Understands the Electronic Warfare (EW) market which includes offensive Electronic Attack (EA)

  • Able to translate warfighter needs into business opportunities

  • Understands large force employment

  • Has an appreciation for How Washington Works

  • Active Secret clearance

Preferred Skills and Education

  • DoD Acquisition experience in an EW role as a former customer or end user with technical experience in the following areas: weapons, UAS, and UUV applications.

  • MBA

  • Active TS with SSBI

  • Graduate of USAF/USN Weapons School
