Nantucket Catering Company LLC COOKS in Nantucket, Massachusetts

Will wash and prepare food for cooking by chef including shellfish and proteins such as steak, chicken, pork duck, sausages. Will prepare salad dressings and sauces including cocktail sauce. Will prepare hors d'oeuvres and slice bread, salumis and cheeses. Will prepare vegetable and green salads; will clean and wash dishes, silverware and utensils; will provide service to guests at functions. No experience necessary. Employer will train. Must be able to work the following varying shifts: 8:00am to 4:00pm; 12:00pm to 8:00pm, 3:00 pm to 11:00pm, 7 days/week. Employer will use a single worksheet as its standard for computing wages. Payroll period is every week beginning on Monday at 12:00am and running 7 days to Sunday at 11:59pm with direct deposit or company check paid on Wednesday (weekly). All deductions required by law will be deducted weekly. H-2B workers will be provided with reimbursement by company check during the first workweek for visa, visa processing and related costs, except passport costs. Employer will arrange for and pay for Transportation and daily subsistence to the place of employment at the start of the employment period, if the worker completes half the employment period. Upon completion of the H-2B period, or if the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay the worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker's voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $12.46 per day during travel to a maximum of $55.00 per day with receipts. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period.
