Cost Analyst

Muscatine, Iowa (MUIA) location

This is a salaried/non-exempt position.

The purpose of the Cost Analyst is to maintain accurate costs on items.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Set up new molds, machines and service agencies in JDE based on information provided by appropriate departments.

  • Set up transfer molds by retrieving information from previous plant.

  • Set up new services based on the information provided by appropriate department

  • Add routing and BOM to all new manufactured items.

  • Roll cost on a new manufactured, purchased and transferred items.

  • Roll simulated cost on changes.

  • Print item check off sheet for all new changes. Proofread and analyze cost and vital information.

  • Contact responsible person if problems are found.

  • Run various reports and analyze information.

  • Maintain instructions in QSI for costing.

  • Assist outside plants on understanding and maintaining accurate cost on items as needed.

  • Assist with cost training to other departments, making it easier to retrieve information from JDE files.

  • Provide cost information and reports to other departments as needed.

  • Input needed month end changes.

  • Establish and conduct a smooth flow for year-end changes.

  • General administrative and data analysis and processing.

  • Perform other tasks as required.



  • High School education/College preferred.

  • Minimum two years accounting/costing/purchasing experience

  • Excellent written, verbal, organizational/analytical skills, strong attention to detail

  • ERP/JDE experience preferred
