Oracle Retail Marketing Director in Mount Laurel, New Jersey

Development of communication programs to promote Oracle's products & services.

Direct all marketing activities within the context of the overall corporate plan for the achievement of short and long term business objectives, increased profit and market control. Be an active member of the global Marketing team to ensure consistency of marketing campaigns and messages. Disseminate key corporate information to the line-of-business and geography operations pertaining to new product development/launches. Act as a liaison with management to ensure that marketing activities are in support of sales plans. Direct marketing resources and budget to be deployed using the most appropriate marketing mix for the line-of-business and/or geography. Ensure consistency between global directions and single-geography and/or line-of-business implementation choices. Implement and monitor advertising campaigns on a line-of-business and/or geographical basis. Maintain necessary contact with major suppliers, agencies, customers, industry associations and government representatives to achieve marketing objectives. Provide effective performance management: set clear goals for all staff, provide regular feedback on performance and conduct a formal appraisal at the conclusion of the fiscal year. Manage the activities of the staff according to overall marketing strategies and budgets. Implement organizational changes in line with changing business & market needs.

Assists in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interacts across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met. Software business management experience. Sales and Marketing experience in the IT industry. E-business Internet practical know-how. Professional credentials in Marketing, Academic credentials desirable. Past experience in Sales desirable.

This is a remote/office based position which may be performed anywhere in the United States except for within the state of Colorado.

Oracle Retail is looking for a talented digital marketing director and content expert that can develop, execute, and measure effective global campaigns. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team that is ranked #1 in the retail space for the vision and completeness of the portfolio. They will be working alongside team members and managing a team of content/ campaign professionals that are passionate about marketing and immersed in the retail industry, engaging with the world’s largest and best-known brands.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage and motivate a team of digital marketing and content creators to generate demand for the Global Retail Business Unit through compelling thought leadership, account base marketing tactics, digital engagement, and targeted campaigns

  • Lead campaign managers to develop creative, effective digital marketing plans that drive engagement and conversions inclusion of social strategy and channel optimization

  • Understand the key performance indicators for digital and balance the allocation of resources, time and budget

  • Lead campaigns team members and SEO partners to define, refine and continuously improve SEO strategy and effectiveness

  • Collaborate with our agency of record to implement paid for advertising strategies (digital display, programmatic prospecting and retargeting), measure and optimize activity

  • Design follow-up campaigns (via marketing automation) to drive meaningful outcomes from online traffic with nurture strategies

  • Build relationships within the RGBU to deliver against team goals

  • Stay current and curious on digital marketing technologies and trends; continuously introduce innovative ideas

This marketing leader must have a proven track record in digital marketing and marketing analytics, with demonstrated experience in SEO, social (paid and organic) and advertising planning, analysis, and optimization. You will need experience working in B2B environments, preferably with knowledge of the IT and retail sectors, and the ability to demonstrate out of the box thinking in how to engage target audience(s) and motivate your team. You will need to demonstrate that you have experience working closely across the line of business teams to achieve your goals. You will need excellent spoken and written English.

Job Requirements:

Education: University degree in public relations, journalism, communications, marketing, or related field.

Experience: Minimum 10 years of marketing experience and management experience; preferred high-tech marketing experience, retail expertise desired

Technology / Platforms: Expertise in native social apps (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn) and Social Media Management (e.g., Oracle Marketing Cloud), proficient in paid media tactics and measures, proficient in MS office applications, understanding of Marketing Automation principles and performance measures (e.g., Eloqua, Marketo)

Communications: Excellent written, presentation and verbal communications skills

Proven Track Record: Demonstrated track record and professional references.
