Penn Line Service Inc General Foreman- Non Energized Electrical Work in Moundsville, West Virginia
Assist in managing the Line Department in order to ensure that construction projects meet company and customer objectives of safety, schedule, performance, cost, and quality.
Effectively manage projects and personnel as required while promoting safety.
Communicate and interact with the foremen and lines personnel in order to be aware of the status of construction progress and possible upcoming issues.
Provide direction, support, and assistance to the foremen and employees in order to ensure the safe accomplishment of their duties.
Actively participate in new project transition.
Provide input in the development of the project budget.
Provide input in the development of the project schedule.
Provide input in the development of subcontractor and supplier scopes of work.
Review purchase orders, subcontracts, and other documents issued for the project.
Effectively control project costs.
Review and approve payment vouchers for suppliers and subcontractors in order to ensure proper payment and job costing.
Ensure compensation is obtained for client and subcontractor caused delays.
Ensure the control of project costs within budget.
Review job cost reports to ensure the accuracy of the estimated cost to complete the projects.
Assertively provide primary interface with the Client, as required.
Participate in pre-construction meetings.
Participate in project meetings as required with the Client and provide assistance with prevention and resolution of issues.
Skills and Knowledge:
Minimum 15 years’ energized electrical line and substation construction experience
Minimum 1 year experience as a foreman in the energized electrical line and substation construction field
Intermediate computer skills
Read and interpret drawings and specifications
General Foreman position requires near and far visual acuity.
General Foreman position requires a valid driver’s class D minimum license – Class A CDL preferred but not required.
General Foreman position is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions, noise, vibration, and hazards. Additionally, General Foreman position is required to transverse steep and uneven terrain, thick brush and slippery surfaces on a regular basis.
