We are seeking an experienced, software solution sales executive with deep domain knowledge of the Higher Education market within the North America region. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success selling course evaluation, feedback, engagement, learning measurement or other enterprise-class SaaS solutions.
The sales hunter role will be based at Explorance’s Montreal head office and will focus on prospecting into net new Higher Education accounts in an assigned region.
What you will do as our new Account Executive :
Create and execute territory and account plans for prospective clients.
Secure business by outreaching to prospects and following up on leads.
Identify key decision-makers and cultivate relationships with executive-level contacts.
Coordinate high-impact presentations and product demonstrations of our solutions.
Work closely with marketing and pre-sales resources to assess and determine customer needs.
Identify and close quick, small wins while managing longer, complex sales cycles.
Scope, negotiate and close multi-year agreements with prospect accounts.
Exceed activity, pipeline, and revenue targets.
Set challenging goals, monitor progress, and make sure that results are achieved as planned.
Utilize a solution-selling approach and create value for customers.
Leverage internal business development, consulting services and product development teams.
Participate in marketing events such as seminars, webinars, and trade shows events.
Develop and maintain skills, knowledge and proficiencies required to be a subject matter expert.
Continuously build knowledge and skills to keep pace with market trends.
Here is what you will bring to the role:
5+ years SaaS sales experience in EdTech for Higher Education
Proven track record of sales success and prospecting, including outbound calling.
Demonstrated ability to exceed individual quarterly and annual quotas.
Demonstrated experience developing a territory sales plan with measurable objectives.
Strong business development and presentation skills.
Responsive and thorough follow-up with customers and prospects.
Hunter mentality, proactive and self-motivated.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English.
Strong account management skills and experience developing C-level relationships.
Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, sound judgment.
Confidence to make difficult fact-based decisions.
Obsessed with winning ethically and with integrity.
BA/BSc Degree or Equivalent.
Ability to travel as needed.
Nice to have:
Experience working with feedback and measurement solutions in the HR, L&D space.
Experience working in a dynamic and challenging, growing start-up environment.
Solid understanding of enterprise SaaS technologies.
Additional languages (French or Spanish) highly desirable.
