Army Installation Management Command Bartender NA-03 in Monterey, California

Summary This position has been approved as an exception to the Dual Compensation policy. In addition to being open to the public, regular full-time, part- time and intermittent current Appropriated and Nonappropriated Funds employees are also eligible to apply. This is an open continuous announcement to provide a ready pool of available applicants as needed. Applicants will be referred to selecting officials as vacancies occur based on the date of application. Responsibilities Sets up bars for operation, obtains cash bank and stocks service bar. Ensures an adequate stock level is maintained, sets up storeroom and work area to permit easy access to stock items. Prepares a limited variety of simple alcoholic beverages as requested by patrons and wait staff. Records sales and makes change or prepares charge slips, and keeps bar and work area clean and sanitary. Identifies persons who become unruly or who appear intoxicated, resolves the problem or seeks assistance in accordance with established procedures. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Qualification Requirements: 1. Must meet state/local age requirements (at least 21 years of age) for the serving of alcohol. 2. Be able to lift and carry weights up to 20 pounds. 3. Possess math skills necessary to calculate patron bills and take inventory. 4. Skill in mixing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Education Additional Information This position is located at General Stilwell Community Center Ballroom. This is a flexible intermittent position which does not offer benefits. Work location is primarily General Stilwell Community Center Ballroom, however incumbent may be required to work at Hobson Activity Center on the Presidio of Monterey. Hours of work are 03:00PM through 01:00AM, however incumbent may be scheduled to work additional hours dependent on event and conference schedules. Area of Consideration: The Area of Consideration for this vacancy announcement is commuting area (50 miles) of the Presidio of Monterey. Commuting area is defined as Monterey County, Santa Cruz County, San Benito County California..
