Title: Senior Infrastructure Engineer - 71142

As a Site Reliability & Infrastructure Engineer at John Deere in Moline, you will work to implement new information technology and application infrastructure utilizing foundational DevSecOps practices, principles & toolsets. In this role, you will work directly with various product scrum teams to identify, analyze, select and apply appropriate tools and practices to ensure a well monitored, scalable, and resilient application environment. You will have the opportunity to work within a diverse technical stack spanning cloud, Java, iOS/Android, SAP and mainframe-based applications and infrastructure. The role will require you to be able to find and fill gaps within infrastructure and application monitoring utilizing industry proven tools as well as custom solutions when necessary.

Proven Technical Skills and Experiences

  • Experience configuring & utilizing system monitoring Tools like AppDynamics, DotCom, ServiceNow, SAP Focused Run, SiteScope, New Relic, Thousand Eyes etc. in an enterprise computing environment

  • Experience with web application development and web services; REST & SOAP

  • Experience hosting complex applications requiring high performance and scalability

  • Experience working with cloud technologies like Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure etc.

  • Strong analytical problem-solving

  • Experience analyzing, translating, and defining business requirements into technical designs

  • Experience coordinating project team members and leveraging their skills to enable successful projects

Interpersonal, Leadership and Teaming Competencies

  • Experience influencing without authority

  • Experience coaching and mentoring software engineers

  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies

  • Skilled in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution

Education (or equivalent work experience)

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology discipline or equivalent experience
