BDO Manager, Modern Workplace Technology Consulting (Office 365 / Microsoft 365, SharePoint, ECM and Collaboration) in Mississauga, Ontario
BDO Canada is currently seeking a Manager, Modern Workplace Technology Consulting to join our Technology Consulting team in the GTA. BDO’s Modern Workplace Practice provides clients with solutions and services in the areas of Office 365/Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Enterprise Content Management and Collaboration.
Key responsibilities of the role will include:
Participating in pre-sales activities including creating and running demos, presentations, drafting statements of work, pricing, proposals and responding to requests for proposal (RFPs)
Assisting in the development & implementation of new service offerings
Running client workshops and gathering/documenting requirements for modern workplace, content/document management and collaboration solutions
Project management of multiple engagements against budget, timeline and scope
Creating end user documentation for clients and providing training on Office 365 and other applications
Acting as a customer escalation contact as required and providing management and guidance related to the resolution of customer satisfaction concerns
Building deeper relationships with clients and assisting in expanding the engagement footprint when the opportunity presents itself
Leading/managing engagement teams and ensuring that team members are effectively utilized
On-going mentoring and coaching of team members including performance management
Ensuring our support professionals have the skills, experience and capacity required to deliver our service offerings
Fostering a sense of purpose within the team; developing short and long-term objectives aligned with driving behaviours supporting our core values, mission and vision
Interviewing and hiring new talent as the team grows

Your experience and education
Excellent customer-facing, communication and presentation skills
Expert knowledge of the latest collaboration tools in Office 365 (SharePoint, Teams, Flow, Power Automate, Power Apps, etc.)
Adept at understanding and eliciting client business challenges and documenting high-level requirements
Ability to run workshops/requirements gathering sessions for modern workplace, content management, document management and collaboration solutions
Experience leading or managing a team and coaching/mentoring team members
Experience in pre-sales activities including creating and running demos, presentations, drafting statements of work, proposals and responding to request for proposals (RFPs)
Experience creating end user documentation and provide training on Office 365
Ability to do project management and business analysis
Understanding of the following concepts: Robotic Process Automation, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Knowledge Management, Information Management
Previous experience working with a consulting firm would be an asset
Experience with application development using the Microsoft stack technologies (e.g. .NET, Azure, SQL Server) would be an asset
Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills
Excellent in multi-tasking and time management
