As an Aerospace Design Specialist (temporary, 12 months) at L3 MAS you will:
The candidate main role will be to design structural or mechanical modifications, repair engineering orders (REO) or engineering orders and to support these changes with our partners and clients. The candidate shall investigate and make decisions regarding pertinent design factors such as ease of manufacture, availability of materials and equipment, interchangeability, replaceability, strength-weight efficiency, etc. Multiples fleets have to be supported, such as the CF-18, the CC-150 and the CT-114. The mandate requires close collaboration with various member of a larger multidisciplinary team.
Design modification, REO, EO on structural or mechanical components;
Produce the modification documentation;
Work on CATIA V6 platform for 2D and 3D design;
Participate and support advance installations.
To achieve this, you will be called upon to:
In coordination with the Senior Design Specialist, respect requirements, design and product budgets and maintaining quality of work, monitoring and maintaining the safety of projects, ensuring the continuing airworthiness of supported aeronautical products;
Develop and propose innovative and complete solutions to the client’s problems;
Support Senior Design specialist for liaising with customers, external agencies, regulatory authorities and other groups;
Respect schedule, quality and cost constrains.
