Post Holdings Demand Planning Manager in Minnetonka, Minnesota
The Demand Planning Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining a 12-month demand forecast for one of 8 th Avenue’s business units. This position will have significant interactions with Sales team members to understand current and future demand patterns as well as any planned promotional activities by the customer. There will be significant reliance on statistical analysis and other forecasting techniques which will be utilized to understand and interpret historical data and trends. This role will be responsible for developing appropriate forecasting strategies to support the business and will require an understanding of and hands-on experience using common forecasting tools and systems. This position will be expected to work cross functionally and collaboratively with other key functional teams to understand business strategies and relevant long and short-term demand implications.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain the annual 12-month forecast for the specified 8 th Avenue business unit
Develop and manage the detailed weekly forecasting processes covering a 12-week horizon at the SKU and customer level
Identify opportunities to minimize demand gaps and continuously improve forecast accuracy
Work closely with Sales leaders to identify forecast assumptions that impact demand requirements
Utilize historical data and statistical analysis to identify variability, patterns and trends
Report weekly and monthly forecast KPI’s and issues to senior leadership
Perform root cause analysis when results don’t meet target levels and recommend demand planning process changes that improve forecast inputs
Maintain critical demand information, statistical models, promotional and causal related data
Lead, facilitate, and/or participate in all demand planning improvement initiatives
Support a collaborative work environment to ensure optimal results

Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
8+ years of experience in demand management and forecasting roles
Hands-on experience operating planning and forecasting processes and systems is required
Must be able to travel up to 20%
Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:
Familiarity with JD Edwards ERP system and John Galt planning and forecasting software is desired.
A track record of success improving forecast accuracy results is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and Power Point
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to make presentations, facilitate meetings, and provide training
Ability to lead and influence others without direct authority.
Must be able to read, write and communicate in the English language.
