Position Overview As a Treasury Manager at Mortenson, you are responsible for managing Mortenson's essential treasury functions, including cash positioning, managing short-term investments, streamlining processes, payments, bank account openings, banking relationships and fraud prevention. This position will ensure adherence to corporate policies and regulatory requirements, as well as efficient and effective support of operations through the development and implementation of integrated treasury systems and processes. Responsibilities You Will: Manage the Treasury team's critical day-to-day functions Manage cash functions including cash positioning, cash reporting and forecasting, short-term investing and borrowing, payments and fraud prevention Lead an efficient and controlled payments function Develop and maintain cash forecasts for various entities Manage the bank account opening and maintenance process by partnering with internal stakeholders and providing excellent customer service Act as liaison between project teams, banks and other financial service providers to facilitate or implement letters of credit, escrow accounts, bank references, and customer requests for supply chain financing Adhere to Treasury policies and propose modifications as appropriate Effectively manage and develop direct reports by setting individual goals, providing constructive feedback, setting expectations and leading by example Streamline, automate and standardize inefficient processes through process reengineering Provide expertise and guidance for treasury technology initiatives Deepen relationships with Mortenson's banking partners and regularly evaluate the company's network of banks to ensure that the company continues to have effective and efficient support to meet its cashflow needs Partner with internal teams including Accounting, A/P, Payroll, ITS and FP.and.A to develop strong working relationships and add value Recommend and implement initiatives to reduce fees and increase investment returns Provide support and reporting for the monthly meetings of the Mortenson Management Investment Team and Investment Board Committee Qualifications You Will Have: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field or equivalent experience Minimum eight years of related experience with at least three years directly managing people Knowledge of corporate treasury systems and processes Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Direct people management experience Strong finance and investing acumen Innovative and tech-savvy with proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint and familiarity with Treasury Management Systems (TMS) Nice to Have: Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation
