We are seeking a strategic, digital-savvy, and influential leader to create cross-channel, integrated campaigns. The successful individual will lead the strategic planning and execution of campaigns focused on demand generation and opportunity identification.
This position can sit in any of our US offices.
The Marketing and Business Development department is a highly collaborative team of professionals who work closely with practice groups and industry sectors to grow revenue and build the reputation of DLA Piper and our lawyers.
10 years of marketing experience, with at least 5 years focused on successfully delivering integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns that drive business results
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or similar field
Industry, agency, or consulting experience in marketing automation and digital marketing strategy
Demonstrated experience driving an integrated strategy and plan while working with peers across brand strategy, media relations, digital, social, search, events, and internal communications
Experience managing external agencies when needed, ensuring strong ROI
Experience incorporating a variety of content types into multi-channel campaigns, including white papers and points of view, short-form content, infographics, motion graphics, animation and video, and managing budgets to optimize outcomes
Knowledge of best-in-class marketing technology platforms and tools, including CRM, marketing automation, content management, and analytics
Strong data and analytical mindset and an ability to set, measure and report on key performance indicators
Outstanding interpersonal skills, including the ability to lead through influence rather than direct control and to create consensus-based support for strategies and recommendations
Deep intellectual curiosity and a determination to stay ahead in the fast-moving and dynamic digital ecosystem
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present and express ideas clearly and persuasively
Ability to coordinate multiple projects and set clear priorities
What will your day look like?
The Sr. Manager, Marketing Campaigns will work with marketing managers from each practice and industry group to create, implement and measure the impact of multi-channel, integrated marketing campaigns. Serving as an internal consultant, you will be asked to advise the team on the strategies that will best enable them to achieve their business goals. You will also capture relevant data and clearly summarize campaign results, which will be reported to stakeholders. Over time, you will be expected to create and update playbooks and best practices to enable re-use and to improve campaign results.
Collaborate with practice and industry marketers to develop integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns that leverage online and offline tactics and are geared toward demand generation and opportunity identification
Develop journey maps, personas and conduct focus groups and other research to define business requirements and leverage data-driven insights to develop campaigns across channels that improve lifetime client satisfaction and guide prospective clients in identifying and investigating solutions
Leverage messaging and design to build unified, client-centric, and visually-engaging campaigns
Define key performance indicators and implement measurement, analytics, and reporting methods to ensure success
Provide key data and analysis of campaign activities to all relevant teams and senior firm leadership
Optimize campaigns in-flight, allowing us to redirect investment in channels and activities that drive the most impact
Generate leads and opportunities for client development teams to nurture
Review and analyze client feedback to inform future campaign strategy
Evaluate existing processes and technology platforms and collaborate with IT to provide recommendations on automation, connectivity, and data insights
Create and update playbooks and best practices to enable reuse and to improve campaign results
