The Shared Risk Platform Team helps all Wells Fargo businesses identify and manage risk. The team focuses on several key risk areas, including credit risk, operational risk, market risk, reputation risk, and compliance risk.

Shared Risk Platform Team strives to ensure that all Wells Fargo corporate functions and lines of business soundly manage risk, comply with applicable laws and regulations, and offer products and services that meet the needs of our customers.

The group provides leadership, enhances communications, assists with problem identification and solutions, and shares best practices. In addition, the group provides an enterprise-wide view of risk, assists management and our Board of Directors in identifying and monitoring risks that may affect multiple lines of business, and takes appropriate action when business activities exceed the risk tolerance of the company.

This position is within the Enterprise Information Technology – SHRP Platform group.

Primary responsibilities for the individual in this role will be:

  • Responsible for architecting solutions and leading the development.

  • Manage a team of onshore and offshore developers and contractors.

  • Partnering with product owner to ensure system changes/enhancements are appropriate, effectively designed and tested prior to their move to production;

  • While the leader will not have direct reports from an HR standpoint, he/she will be responsible for the work efforts and personal development of staff. This includes providing guidance and mentoring for junior staff and identifying skill development opportunities

  • Responsible for quality and delivery of the requirements, and for ensuring that all work tasks are assigned and completed in accordance with project schedules and plans

  • Primary point of escalation for any task or technical issues encountered by the application support team

  • Provide guidance and direction on production issues

  • Responsible for properly staffing and delivering on commitments

  • Continuously improve our processes to raise quality and shrink timelines

  • Understand and assure quality, security, and compliance requirements are met;

  • Participate in BCP activities.

  • May also be responsible for the following activities:

  • Document and administer change management requests or backlog items;

  • Participate in daily Scrum meetings;

  • Develop and maintain schedules/calendars, change timelines, meeting agendas, meeting minutes and other artifacts;

  • Provide regular status updates to manager and team members;

  • Fulfill other analysis or research activities as requested;

  • Ability to work “flextime” to attend scheduled meetings off hours with international teams.

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of software engineering experience

  • 7+ years of MS SQL server experience

  • 5+ years of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) Programming experience

  • 7+ years of SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) experience

  • 5 + years of leadership experience including coaching, training, and mentoring

Desired Qualifications:

  • An industry-standard technology certification

  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Knowledge and understanding of technical environments: management and production release coordination

  • Knowledge and understanding of source code version control systems, configuration management techniques and procedures

  • Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members

  • Knowledge and understanding of operational risk management in the financial services industry

  • Knowledge and understanding of project management methodologies: used in waterfall or Agile development projects

  • Experience delivering, evaluating, or testing large technology efforts

  • Outstanding problem solving and decision making skills

  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills

  • A BS/BA degree or higher

  • Ability to travel up to 5% of the time
