As an intern you will participate in our nationwide Internship & Co-Op Program, LEAP, where you will have the opportunity to Learn, Engage, Apply, and Progress within the company. In this position, you will be supporting the Combat Mission Systems (CMS) Business at our Minneapolis, MN facility. This position will be onsite at our Minneapolis facility, relocation may be offered, housing is not provided.
As a SHE Intern, you will:
Assist company professionals in environmental planning and compliance activities pertaining to the protection of air, water and waste
Duties may include: facility audits; waste stream analysis and management and waste minimization projects
Perform document control for EHS documents and recordkeeping
Assist company professionals in implementing various safety planning and compliance activities pertaining to the protection of human health and safety
Duties may include: facility audits; employee training programs; industrial hygiene; incident investigations; and other health and safety related projects
Reports will be written and submitted for some safety projects
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Current enrollment in a Bachelor's Degree program pursuing a degree in a Safety, Health or Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or related field
Minimum of 6 to 10 credit hours of course work in Safety, Health or Environmental studies
Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communications skills
Strong team player
Possess good time management skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Candidate able to work full-time (40 hours a week) during summer months
