Job Summary The MSP Ramp Shift Manager position is responsible for managing the work of the ramp agents at Terminal 2. The Ramp Supervisor will be responsible for directing the safe and efficient loading and unloading of cargo and baggage to the aircraft. Manage, track, and maintain accountability for all Ramp Agents Participate in safety audits and PM checks of all Ground Service Equipment Hold supervisory team accountable for the efficiency of the daily operation Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees Coaches, counsels, and disciplines employees Act as the representative to the airline customer Maintain and track all ground handling equipment and supplies Supervise, plan, and assign the daily operation of the Ramp Agents Complete shift reports and sign timecards Ensure that ramp personnel adhere to established company and federal safety regulations Prepare incident reports as needed for violations of company policy Perform as mentor to other employees and provide training to new employees Conduct shift briefings to ensure staff is organized and informed Ensure ramp areas are safe and free of Foreign Objects Debris (FOD) and that all ground service equipment is properly maintained Follow safety regulations, which include the proper use of ground service equipment and wearing proper safety items Any other duties assigned by management Supervisory Responsibility Ramp Agents Ramp Supervisors Required Skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Effective communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work efficiently under time constraints Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays Required Experience One or more years' experience as a supervisor in a similar position Preferred Qualifications Previous management experience Continuous Improvement/Lean/6-Sigma experience/training Greenbelt (or greater) certification Additional Notes Must be able to obtain an MSP SIDA badge and Customs Seal.
