The U.S. Bank Freight Payment Product Team is currently seeking a Group Product Manager to own and oversee the strategic product management of a suite of applications and related services that support stronger supply chains and improved collaboration between large organizations and their transportation and shipping partners.
The incumbent will assist senior management in evaluating and developing product and service opportunities and in doing so will work with a variety of business partners within and outside the bank to identify, define, and cultivate opportunities to meet customer needs.
The U.S. Bank Freight Payment Product Team seeks a self-starter, self-learner, internal bridge-builder and technology sponge interested in absorbing all that is happening within and outside the Freight Payment industry and transforming that information into insights and ideas for new product and service offerings, product positioning, product development and pricing philosophy. You’ll need the ability to ideate as well as execute.

Job activities will include (but will not limited to)
Championing the customer experience, using input from Voice of the Customer events and customer journey mapping interviews to help prioritize future investments in product development
Evaluates market trends, legal/regulatory climate, competitive products, and more;
Monitors changes in marketplace technology;
Conducts research on product enhancements and new product offerings;
Presents findings and recommendations
Develops marketing strategy in partnership with marketing team ensuring consistency with organization and business line objectives and goals and meeting product profit and growth goals.
Develops roadmap and requirements for new and existing products
Ensures cross-functional alignment of product roadmap and priorities
Manages the development of product pricing and profitability analysis and recommends pricing
Manages competitive analysis and market research of competing products and services to identify customer needs and trends.
Manages the on-going research to track, monitor and analyze product performance, profitability and contribution.
Collaborates with sales teams to ensure that customer requirements are understood
Collaborates with marketing and training teams to ensure sales teams are ready to represent our latest product and service offerings.
Reviews risk data related to product line(s) and ensures risks are effectively monitored and managed.
Ensures products meet state and Federal regulatory requirements and coordinates legal review of all supporting collateral materials and documentation.
Plans, develops and controls product/project budgets.
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
10 or more years of product management experience
Preferred Skills and Experience
Knowledge of competitive market, operations and various products and services within the transportation industry
General knowledge of the bank’s business lines coupled with the ability to not think like a banker
Strong product development, product management and design skills
A basic appreciation for Agile product development methodologies
Demonstrated track record of project execution/implementation
Demonstrated research and investigative skills
Strong strategic, competitive and financial analysis skills
Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
Strong Office PC skills in a Microsoft Office environment
