Responsibilities * Primary responsibility will be to lead the Civil design scope on a wide variety of projects in the Food/Distribution/Manufacturing and Public & Institutional market sectors. * Coordinate technical activities and designs with multiple teams of Architects and Engineers at the Minneapolis studio and other company locations around the country. * Plan and direct the work of junior engineers. * Prepare engineering reports, calculations and specifications to support the civil design scope. * Review design documents and specifications for quality control, code compliance, constructability and risk management. * Represent the Civil group at meetings with the project team, clients, and regulatory agencies. * Perform Construction Administration duties including shop drawing review, RFI responses, and performing site visits to assess general conformance with the design concept. * Mentor and encourage the development of junior engineers. * Review proposals to establish the project Civil scope requirements, identify potential risks, and prepare fee estimates. * Occasional project-related travel may be required.
