General Mills Inc Associate Manager, Workforce Analytic Consultant in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Job Description As part of our Workforce Insights team, you'll be on the forefront of creating new capabilities that leverage and transform workforce data into insight that drives action in our Talent Center of Excellence. Driving impact requires strong collaboration with business, analytic and data partners, understanding the business question and the ability to translate it to the human question, solve it with the right data and methodology and communicate a compelling story. Further, in this role you will contribute expertise and thought leadership by keeping abreast of the latest trends in workforce analytics and by helping to grow the analytic skillset of the HR organization. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES In this role you will: Develop actionable and timely insights ensuring appropriate analyses and analytic methodologies for the business question. Define workforce research initiative objectives based on the business question, develop a plan to address those objectives, execute the appropriate analysis/analytics, develop insights and implications and leverage storytelling to communicate to HR leaders and decision-makers. Proactively identify opportunities to drive greater organizational impact through analytics. Connect the dots across internal and external data sources needed to reach well rounded conclusions. Bring new thinking and innovative workforce insight practices based on experience and from external best practice sources. Help instill an analytic mindset among HRBPs and COEs. Support standard interpretation, output and use of workforce data (one version of people truth). Support HR data and reporting governance processes and ensure applicable governance standards are followed. Contribute thought leadership, in conjunction with others on the team, as to new metrics and their application. Support other initiatives as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Masters or PhD in Industrial Organizational Psychology, Human Resources, Economics, Statistics or Social Sciences 2+ years experience required, 5+ preferred Proven analytical/critical thinking skills and a deep understanding of HR practices and data. In-depth understanding of statistics and modeling approaches applied to solve workforce challenges and optimize practices. Ability to interpret HR and business data, develop insight, tell the story, drive application and influence decisions. Experience in designing and analyzing workforce surveys and extracting insight. Tech savvy and the ability to leverage tools such as Workday, Excel, Tableau, R, Python, or other statistical software packages. Very strong interpersonal and collaboration skills; ability to influence various stakeholder audiences. Strong written, oral and visual communication skills. Must have sound judgment and discretion regarding the handling of confidential information. Excellent decision making and problem solving skills. Highly self-motivated, self-starter who is able to navigate ambiguity. Ability to think proactively and manage multiple priorities and stakeholders. Strong business acumen.
