The Alliance Leader identifies, develops, and facilitates execution of alliance / partnership opportunities that provide competitive advantage within CBB and in support of broader alliances. The U.S. Bank relationship with State Farm is an example of this alliance. Candidate understands USB strengths/weaknesses, competitive landscape, and customer mindsets to craft and execute novel alliance programs. Individual must synthesize complex market and competitive information across multiple structures in the organization, anticipate market trends and customer needs, and transform analyses into innovative actionable plans for revenue growth, investment, or operational enhancement. Specific functions will include identification of opportunities, innovative market segmentation, business plan development, performance analysis / evaluation and significant direct interaction / management of alliances. Individual will build and maintain strong partnerships within USB as well as foster relationships within alliance organizations to accelerate growth; develop and implement marketing strategies to enable alliances to power the potential of more clients.
Maintain visibility of aggregate P&L and customer impacts for alliance relationships to support integrated management across multiple LOBs. Maintain visibility and understanding of broad alliance relationships (i.e., State Farm). Provide unifying direction to internal USB teams while building robust relationships with alliance members. Define / Drive alignment around strategic direction and provide leadership to achieve stated objectives. Actively ensure compliance with all US Bancorp policies and procedures such as Code of Ethics and all Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Secrecy Act, information security and suspicious activity reporting requirements, etc.
Essential qualifications :
10+ years of banking /product/ relationship management experience
Experience leading a P&L • BA/MBA in finance, business administration, or related field
Well-developed leadership abilities with comfortability being a “builder”
In-depth understanding of business functions and processes supported
Well-developed verbal communication skills and a strong executive presence
Well-developed analytical, decision-making, and strategic problem-solving skills
Comfortable with ambiguity and paving own path in the face of adversity
A knack for being nimble and thriving in a fast-paced environment
