BRIGGS & STRATTON CORP Electrical Technician III in MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Description Calibrates, sets-up and uses measurement and test equipment. Interprets data and develops devices and circuits for assigned projects. Writes reports and communicates results. Job Responsibilities Performs complex electrical engineering tests Analyzes, writes advanced reports and recommends solution to complex electrical problems Trouble-shoots electrical problems and recommends improvements or solutions Develops new test set-ups and test methods Expedites the fabrication/assembly of complicated prototype devices Trains others in the area of expertise as required Performs other duties as assigned Job Skills Requirements Ability to set-up, calibrate and use sophisticated/specialized electronic instrumentation, measurement devices and test equipment Ability to use recognized sources to obtain supporting technical data Basic ability to use supporting technical data, through calculation and analysis as an aid in solving problems Thorough understanding of electrical and electronic circuits and devices Well-developed ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location Education Associates Degree in Electrical Technology or related field, or equivalent education and experience Experience Requirements Minimum of five years of experience working with electrical and electronic systems, circuits, hand tools, soldering, wiring, assembly of electrical prototypes and recording data Three years experience working with engines and engine powered equipment Annual seminars, ongoing technical meetings or related courses required Physical & Environmental Requirements X Briggs & Stratton Corporation is committed to a policy of equal employment opportunity.
