POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly skilled finance & accounting professional that will help us scale in the public markets. As an ambitious member of the finance team, you will have a growth mindset to develop your career at our Company as you contribute to our success. You will bring a strong ownership mindset with a “get things done” mentality. As a trusted partner to the CFO and Corporate Controller, you will proactively address technical accounting and reporting topics relating to new transactions and business models. While bringing a rigorous technical background, you will also be flexible and adaptable to new concepts and ideas as we build our Company. You will exercise first-principles thinking to solving business problems and apply learning iterations to achieve excellence in everything we do.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee the Company's external financial reporting process, including SEC reporting (Form 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K etc.), compliance and review of the XBRL process, quarterly and annual census reporting, and other financial and governmental statutory reporting as required
Support the annual audit and quarterly review activities with external auditors as well as testing by internal and external auditors on internal controls
Ensure the proper implementation of new accounting pronouncements into financial statements
Participate in the Company's Disclosure Committee and when appropriate Audit and Risk Oversight Committee
Manage the U.S. revenue accounting close and reporting process, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, internal controls and company policy and procedures
Monitor regulatory or business changes and address impacts to revenue accounting operations
Provide leadership, business partnering or decision support on complex revenue related transactions or new product launches
Collaborate with cross-functional business partners to identify continuous improvement opportunities and/or optimize revenue accounting operations
Responsible for proper accounting for stock-based compensation and required disclosures in the financial statements
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Strong technical accounting background with a thorough knowledge of US GAAP with focus on revenue recognition standard
Thorough knowledge of SOX 404 and SEC reporting standards, as well as experience with technical research
Experience leading both technical accounting and SEC reporting at a public US company
10+ years of combined experience working in a premium audit firm and in public companies
Additional experience in high growth Silicon Valley technology companies is a plus
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or related majors
Active CPA or equivalent certification
CPEs in major accounting and reporting topics
