Thermo Fisher Scientific Operations Training Specialist II in Millersburg, Pennsylvania

How will you make an impact?

As an Operations Training Specialist you will be responsible for working directly with the Training Team to help facilitate the onboarding of new employees, provide valuable direction and insight into the overall process, and help to be a liaison between operations and human resources for all employees at the Millersburg facility. Your job will require the ability to work as a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect, analyze and present site Training KPI data.

  • Organize and facilitate new employee roundtables.

  • Train new employees on Thermo Fisher Programs (such as eTime, ADP, WorkDay, etc.).

  • Coordinate with Colleague Services to help eradicate any onboarding issues.

  • Basic knowledge of the Master Control and reporting processes.

  • Draft/approve reports to support QMS training processes as defined in the Quality Assurance Manual.

  • Review, edit and approve existing training procedures and content. Create new SOPs as appropriate to close training/QMS gaps and drive continuous improvement.

  • Work with Training Specialists to coordinate/schedule employee training.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Ability to interact with trainees on a frequent basis (Customer facing role)

  • Ability to understand various manufacturing processes, quality, and human resource processes.

  • Excellent written and communication skills.

  • Ability to interact with all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to develop and implement procedures throughout the organization.

Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria:

  • 1+ years of training experience.

  • Ability to understand Quality management system training processes including ISO 13485 and 21CFR820.

  • Excellent communication and coaching/teaching skills.

  • Ability to travel (10% domestic).

  • Associates Degree education or higher required
