Kelly Services Maintenance Apprentice needed for aerospace company in Midway, Georgia

Job Description

Kelly Services in Savannah, GA is currently seeking experienced Maintenance Apprentice completes preventative maintenance work orders and makes repairs on general equipment for the facility while assisting the Maintenance Technicians in equipment repairs and shut downs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: This is a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities and is not all inclusive. Incumbent(s) may be required to perform additional, position-specific tasks.

o Complete Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, Semi-Annual, and Annual Preventative Maintenance work orders for all equipment on site.

o Responsible for general facilities maintenance such as, but not limited to:

o Changing Light Bulbs/Fixtures

o Repairing or changing locking hardware on doors/gates/cabinets/desks

o Demolition/Removal of existing equipment that is no longer needed by the facility

o Minor HVAC Repairs such as unclogging drain lines and replacing filters

o Installing/Removing televisions and other office equipment throughout the facility

o Any other general facilities maintenance jobs that are required

o Locate, pull, and assort various parts and tools into a designated area for large shut down jobs and weekly planned projects.

o Operate heavy equipment (forklifts, man-lifts, extended boom lifts) to complete Preventative Maintenance work orders.

o Assist in the 5S initiatives of the Maintenance spare parts cage and the Maintenance shop.

o Work with Maintenance Technicians on jobs that require more than one person.

o Examples include -Equipment Repair, Running Conduit (Electrical, Pneumatic, and Hydraulic), and CNC machine conveyor cleaning.


Production and Processing - Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.

Operation and Control - Controlling operations of equipment or systems.

Operation Monitoring- Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.

Quality Control Analysis - Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.

Reading Comprehension - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents. Critical Thinking- Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

Speaking- Talking to others to convey information effectively.

Troubleshooting - Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.

Minimum 1 year of experience working in at least one of these specialty areas: hydraulics, CNC mechanics, welding or facilities/general maintenance
