ETC Technical Sales in MIDDLETON, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: We're looking for a Technical Salesperson to lead our RAYN Growing Systems product lines! Our parent company, ETC, is well established with a lot of unique technologies, making this a fantastic opportunity for someone to leverage that strength and technology and transfer it to the CEA market. You'll be responsible for developing new business, and establishing relationships in research-based and commercial production horticultural lighting markets. This position could be based in the US (focusing on the US market) or the UK or Netherlands (focusing on the European market), and will require up to 75% travel. Our ideal candidate will have a background in horticultural sales, and knowledge of multi-spectral lighting or plant growth optimization, with a proven track record in sales channel and market expansion. Representative Responsibilities: Coordinates all RAYN sales activity, including international opportunities Develops and maintains strong relationships with consultants including plant physiologists, greenhouse builders, lighting consultants, CEA facility owners etc. Performs & coordinates sales calls to potential customers including plant physiologists, researchers, academics etc. Conducts product demonstrations & follows up on leads Calls on private and collegiate research facilities for the purpose of partnered sales Closes orders Establishes themselves as a knowledge leader and partner for scientists to help them define project proposals using RAYN equipment, including grant applications Defines project requirements and assembles system layouts, specifications & risers for horticulture lighting systems Conducts training seminars Works directly with key accounts Works with business partners to call on end users and specifiers (consultants, engineers, and architects) to get RAYN products specified on new projects Supports ETC salespeople selling RAYN product on special projects through ETC sales channels Establishes sales channels by developing new business partners Monitors sales activity of all partners & resellers Makes recommendations to management about changes or additions to partners & resellers Coordinates with marketing team on strategies for our path to market Participates in trade shows, conferences, seminars, and other informational sales events Manages and provides budget information for projects Administrates loan & demo equipment for the territory Coordinates and collaborates with ETC sales managers to maximize business Helps organize and curate sales activity data in CRM system Special projects and requests are completed in a timely and positive fashion. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: 7 + years of job-related experience or extensive sales knowledge Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of a sales manager or similar position Demonstrated performance closing sales in horticulture research applications Demonstrated experience building and managing sales distribution network for production farming Excellent communications, organizational, and interpersonal skills Excellent problem-solving skills Excellent customer service skills Excellent presentation, sales, and communications skills Computer skills including Microsoft Office, AutoCAD or equivalent, and database management applications Highly self-motivated self-starter able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously Significant contact list and relationships for researchers in the horticulture market Ability to hold technical discussion regarding effects of spectral changes on plant growth Knowledge of environmental and process control systems for CEA Knowledge of lighting systems and spectral controls for CEA research Familiarity with competitors' products Ability to travel extensively ***** APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: Apply nline:
