JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Summary: Employee Benefits Corporation is hiring for a Compliance Director. The Compliance Director is responsible for ensuring that the organization is administering client benefit plans in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures. As the compliance team leader and subject matter expert, the Compliance Director is responsible for establishing standards and implementing procedures to ensure that the compliance programs throughout the organization are effective and efficient. The Compliance Director provides strategic advice related to the regulatory and compliance environment and provides technical guidance on specific compliance matters, both internally and externally. Responsibilities Include: Oversee the compliance program for client benefit plan administration Consult with clients on complex plan changes or other administration complexity and provide guidance to internal teams on how to administer in a compliant manner Review client-authored plan documents, customize plan documents for key clients and review for compliance with applicable regulations Investigate or direct compliance issues to appropriate channels for investigation and resolution, consulting with internal and external legal counsel as needed to resolve difficult issues and recommending appropriate course of action/remediation plans Monitor and analyze state and federal legislation and current trends affective benefit plan administration Ensure proper reporting of violations to duly authorized enforcement agencies and respond to any formal plan complaints by plan participants, ensuring proper reporting of complaints Conduct periodic assessments to identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk and develop and implement corrective action plans for resolution Represent organization on a regional and national level, actively participating in industry organizations and speaking on compliance topics at conferences Create content for external communications on compliance topics Manage team members by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees Ensure effectiveness of team members through coaching and development and performance management Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in related area of study and 10+ years of experience in employee benefit plans Five years of leadership experience Advanced knowledge of ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, ACA and the Internal Revenue Code Advanced knowledge of consumer-directed healthcare Experience drafting employee benefit plans, service agreements and communications and resolving plan operational issues Strong organizational and time management skills with proven ability to work on multiple priorities concurrently in a fast-paced...
