Danaher Corporation Sales Specialist, Applied Microscopy - FL in Miami, Florida

The Sales Specialist Applied Microscopy (SSAM) is the key customer-facing member of the company’s sales team. This position creates and manages customer relationships, growing the sales opportunity funnel and ultimately achieving the orders and sales targets set forth for the territory.

The SSAM’s target customers are in Core Industry (ex. Automotive, Microelectronics, and Medical Device), Materials Science, and Forensics. His/her primary function is to execute domestic sales plans and to recommend strategies to improve the sale of Microscopy and Imaging solutions in the territory, aid in the implementation of these strategies in line with Marketing, Corporate growth, profitability, and mission objectives.

  • The SSAM has a hunter’s mentality, dedicating time to sales prospecting, and driving opportunities to closure at net new accounts.

  • Understands and interprets verbal and non-verbal buying signals from new and existing customers, then uses that information to drive sales success in the region.

  • Puts focus and deploys appropriate Leica resources to convert competitive accounts and has the ability to identify decision-makers and key stakeholders for each opportunity.

  • Must be able to execute a value-added, consultative sales approach including application solving, demonstrations, product support, training, and sale of Leica’s imaging products to technical buyers.

  • Must effectively manage potential sales all the way through closure and the purchasing process.

  • Demonstrates rigorous time and territory management practices and actively dedicates time to sales prospecting to grow the opportunity funnel for the future.

  • This position effectively leverages the support resources within Leica in order to be as efficient and effective in the selling process as possible.
