Micron Consumer Products Group is a division of Micron, one of the world’s largest memory and flash storage manufacturers. Based out of Meridian, Idaho with additional international locations, the group primarily operates under the Crucial brand selling to large channel partners and direct via its website where it has a strong presence in North America, Europe, and Asia.
We are recruiting for an exciting position within our global marketing team, tasked with managing the group’s insight and analytics function. Reporting directly to the Sr Manager, Performance Marketing & Insight, you will manage a small team responsible for setting a solid foundation for decision making at a worldwide level. You will help to drive the optimization of digital marketing campaigns alongside the performance marketing managers, whilst simultaneously improving the digital journey by finding opportunities directly from digital analytics and customer feedback. You will also be responsible for identifying any wider market trends and diving into competitor strategies by working with third party providers, ensuring that leadership are kept informed of any key changes.
An analytical problem solver with a passion for helping people understand the “why” from data, you will also need a developed sense of business insight to help guide your analytical approach. You should be comfortable challenging the status quo in order to find and implement new and better ways to look at data.
A highly effective communicator, numerate, detail oriented, and organized, you will have a strong solid understanding of Microsoft Excel, SQL, and Tableau along with a data analysis related degree. You’ll also be as passionate about new technology and computers as our customers are. Previous exposure to a digital marketing function, digital analytics, and customer research is desirable.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
Driving an outstanding insight team capable of setting the basis for a data-driven approach to digital marketing
Leading and prioritizing the workload of the insight team to ensure high quality analysis and reporting are delivered on time
Training and upskilling of insight team members, providing support where required
Owning the relationship with all third-party data, research, and analytics providers
Influencing the strategy of the wider performance marketing team, identifying key areas for optimizing our digital advertising investments
Working with performance marketing, web, and brand teams to highlight areas for improvement across all aspects of the digital journey using agency data, web analytics, customer feedback, and UX testing
Keeping on top of new market and competitor trends, reporting back to the team and leadership where appropriate on any changes
Identifying innovative solutions to improve on current reporting, data visualization, and data warehousing processes
Overseeing the distribution of weekly/monthly/quarterly critical metric reporting and analysis for the marketing team
Skills and Experience:
Analytical problem solver with strong attention to detail
Excellent organization, communication and presentation skills
Proactive, flexible and able to work autonomously
Strong project leadership skills
Comfortable working in a global team
Strong Tableau and Microsoft Excel knowledge for reporting, data manipulation and analysis
Good knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server (or equivalent) to combine, aggregate and extract data
Confident working with large volumes of data, ensuring integrity is maintained in the flow across raw files and a database
Prior exposure to digital analytics tools
Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role
Data analysis related degree
