Oracle Sr. Principal Solutions Architect with Strong IoT Experience in Menlo Park, California

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc. As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. Define specifications for significant new projects and specify, design and develop software according to those specifications. You will perform professional software development tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems. Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. Recommends and justifies major changes to existing products/services/processes. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 8 or more years of software engineering or related experience. This is a remote/office based position which may be performed anywhere in the United States except for within the state of Colorado. Network IoT Solutions Architect Can be located anywhere in the US Not able to transfer or sponsor visas for this role As a Solution Architect you will be responsible for being the expert on formulating and leading end to end solution conversations with customers, partners and with internal teams. You will evangelize Oracle’s IoT Strategy to the market, while being able to engage in deep technical facets of how the solutions work and provide value to our customers and partners. Interface with internal teams, across lines of business, to effect long term product and directional strategy. Drive strategic direction with field-based data and information that can keep us competitive and drive future product strategy. Focuses on large, complex, global sales opportunities that need creative and intricate solutions to advanced customer problems. Ability to look at both customer and industry big picture and be able to utilize that information to drive a stronger internal strategy and build a long-term foundation with our customer base. Develop tools and training for the Oracle Communication Sales Consultants. Develops and delivers outstanding Oracle presentations and demonstrations to internal and external audiences. Advise internal and external clients on overall architect solutions. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. In depth knowledge of competitors. Demonstrated project management skills. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Ability to persuade others through presentations, demonstrations, and written communication. Develop trustful and seamless relationship for the mid/long term business with key customers. EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant Technical field. 5 years of relevant experience in technology/software sales, pre-sales or consulting 5-7 years of design, implementation, or consulting experience with Enterprise or Industrial IoT, data networking, security and cloud-based applications 3-5 years of network architecture experience in complex global networks and/or communication solutions High level of enthusiasm and passion for business development and competition Ability to work independently with minimum guidance and to own projects from inception to completion Traveling is expected, up to 50% of the time *Job: Product Development *Organization: Oracle *Title: *Sr. Principal Solutions Architect with Strong IoT Experience Location: United States Requisition ID: 210006BW
