L3Harris Technologies is seeking a L3Harris is seeking a Spec, Material Management 3 to join their SATCOM team in Melbourne, Florida. This individual will be responsible for providing material management services in support of proposal activities. This can include responsibilities such as:
Essential tasks include, but are not limited to:
Serve as the supply chain interface to the program and align integrated supply chain resources and solutions with business needs
Ensure timely issue resolution for program requirements and issues
Represent supply chain and provide input at gate reviews, EAC reviews and program reviews
Using LEAN/Six Sigma and critical thinking skills to propose sound and innovative business solutions that contribute to business unit success
Accountable for closeout of contractual obligations (e.g. deliveries and open commitments)
Deliver all proposal material and labor inputs on time
Support and/or lead the development of supply chain deliverables in support of NPD stage gate processes
Own program supply chain cost (material and labor EAC/ETC) and material delivery schedule performance
Establish and maintain program material and labor baseline, including change requests
Manage timely and complete purchase requisition release to general procurement and subcontracts teams
Drive timely closure of specification and drawing issues.
Collaborate with general procurement, subcontracts, data analytics, quality, engineering, finance and program management to mitigate cost and schedule risk
Partner with supply chain data analytics to develop metrics and reports that enable visible and comprehensive materials management
Participate in and/or lead strategic initiatives such as lead time reduction
Ensure material strategy meets program financial objectives and commitment
Communicate effectively with a wide array of professional levels and functions.
Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience in material management, subcontracts administration or related field.
Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
Must be a US Citizen (no dual citizenship)
8+ years of experience using MRP systems software.
U.S. granted government security clearance.
Experience working in the US DOD manufacturing industry.
Understanding of industry principles, concepts, practices and standards along with a basic knowledge of the manufacturing process.
Advanced Excel skills including Pivot tables, etc.
Knowledge of and experience with FAR, ITAR, and EAR
