This position in the Engineering IT organization is for Sr. Manager leading a team of system and network administrators that supports and expanding footprint in the Secure Experimental Areas in the FL, VA, Colorado Springs and San Diego areas. This management position is responsible for the ongoing support and maintenance of the secure data/voice infrastructure of these areas which support several L3Harris programs. This leadership position will manage a number of secure areas spaces under the RMF process, about connected and disconnected environment.
Manage the systems, network and computer deployment teams in these areas. Perform personnel evaluations, conduct staff and 1:1 meetings, provide growth opportunities for team members.
Contribute to the Strategic Growth Plan of the Secure Area IT organization, assist the EIT leadership in setting goals and achieve those goals in the agreed upon timeline.
Support compliance with ICD 503 Risk Mitigation Framework (RMF) processes for each of the assigned secure areas. Provide guidance and manage the process for patching, hardening or upgrading the systems as appropriate to address items on the POAM’s in coordination with both local and customer security.
Interface with government representatives and program management and engineering as required to enable programs meet contract objectives and requirements.
Assist EIT Management in forecasting needs as well as planning and prioritizing of EIT budgets to agreed-to dollar amounts.
Manage services in assigned areas to agreed upon SLA's with a 90% goal.
Learn and advise on company, IT, and security policies.
Bachelor’s Degree in IT, MIS, CIS, CS or equivalent, with a minimum of 12 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience managing an enterprise environment.
Current SSBI and a current TS/SCI Clearance with CI Poly.
CompTIA Security + Certification or in the process of obtaining it.
5+ years of experience with ICD503 RMF process and procedures.
Familiar with Continuous Integration (CI) DevOps pipeline concepts, such as automation of system deployments, intra-application orchestration and configuration management.
Experience with Exchange, SQL, VMware and Citrix.
Experience with Cisco Routers and Switches, Network Certification a plus.
Experience with Red Hat Linux or Linux Variants.
Experience with Windows Server.
