Position Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an IT Technician to join World Courier's IT team. The successful candidate will be based in our Melbourne office but will provide remote support to our offices globally.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

To provide a 1st line support service that ensures all IT equipment and infrastructure is running to its optimum performance and that KPIs and support tickets are responded to and resolved within agreed business SLAs. Escalating where required.

Analyse, support, troubleshoot, repair, maintain and install computer systems, hardware, network, and network connections, security, and equipment related to computer peripherals.

Conduct research on new technology as requested in order to stay abreast of any new releases and features of business operating systems and software utilised by the organisation.

Manage requests for new employees, equipment and administering new accounts for different corporate systems.

Provide support to offices in all geographic regions and time zones.

Plan and manage office relocations and infrastructure changes.

Ensure all support tickets are responded to and resolved within agreed business SLAs and prioritise incidents appropriately.

Ensure all support department work is performed to meet customer satisfaction standards and requirements

Qualifications:

Experience and Educational Requirements

Technical vocational training or an equivalent combination of training and experience. 1-2 year’s experience with PC, servers and network monitoring. Must have experience with PC, laptops, servers, printers and Ethernet network technologies. Windows 7/10 Active Directory Group Policy Microsoft Exchange 2010 Office 365 Windows Server 2012/2016 Basic Networking understanding (TCP/IP) PC Build Experience Ticketing System Knowledge (Service Now preferable) SCCM Personal Attributes Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment. Effective communication skills both oral and in writing. Excellent customer service support skills. Ability to both work well in a team and independently. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Ability to remain focused within a lively environment.
