Carrier Fire & Security Products is seeking a Assistant Brand Marketing Manager for its Kidde Residential Fire Products business in Mebane, NC! As part of the Kidde Customer Experience (CX) Team, the Assistant Brand Marketing Manager will assist in the development and management of campaigns, product launches, advertising, and promotions under the direction of the Senior Brand Marketing Manager. He/She will assist with the overall brand experience by helping to translate business plans and strategies into day-to-day implementation plans and actions. The role will focus on initiatives that improve the experience with the consumer and assist with the creation of a consumer-centric culture at Kidde.

The core activities of the Assistant Brand Marketing Manager will be to support the development and management of go-to-market plans that drive consistency in voice, tone, and message across all channels. He/She will assist with marketing plan development for product, program, and service launches, focused on channel alignment. This role reports to the Senior Brand Marketing Manager and will collaborate with the Kidde cross-functional teams, including digital and content marketing, trade and channel marketing, product management, operations, and finance.


  • Execute brand strategies and new pipelines based on strong consumer, customer, and market landscape insights;

  • Develop and implement best in class 360 integrated marketing plan, brand building communication, and go-to-market initiatives driving awareness for our brand and products with target consumer in mind;

  • Support the development of a marketing checklist focused on commercialization activities that deliver best in class product launches;

  • Work with cross-functional team in content & program ideation, while bringing those ideas to life in an engaging way across all brand touchpoints;

  • Create demand-generating marketing plans and seasonal campaigns;

  • Write creative briefs and manage agency creative process from kick-off to completion in cross-functional partnership with content, digital and media teams;

  • Own and manage annual brand marketing calendar;

  • Manage scopes, advertising budget and content delivery schedules;

  • Ensures consistency of brand presence and communication across all consumer touchpoints;

  • Develop visual merchandising support plans to align online and in-store experiences to overall marketing experiences;

  • Conduct KPI analysis to strengthen the brand's integrated marketing program strategy;

  • Initiate and analyze consumer and market research to identify market trends and target consumer preferences to improve the brand's marketing efforts;

  • Monitor industry and competitive activity, producing seasonal competitive review;

  • Manage CX Team POs, vendor set-up, invoices, and monthly/quarterly budget reconciliation;

  • Owns agency contact lists and annual agency summit;


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Merchandising, Marketing, or relevant field

  • 3+ years’ overall marketing experience; brand or integrated marketing experience for consumer brands or retailer

  • 2+ years writing strategic briefs and working cross-functionally;

  • Experience leveraging consumer insights to develop effective marketing programs and campaigns;

  • Captivating storyteller - comfortable with both internal and external communications;

  • Comfortable getting hands dirty at the ground level on executing projects with attention to detail;

  • Experience providing presentations to Senior Management;

  • Self-starter, possess the flexibility to work in a fast-changing environment and ambiguous situations;

  • Consumer-centric and naturally curious with a sense for solving problems that others may not realize exist and to push beyond the status quo;
